This recipe is designed to help women who experience unpleasant symptoms at that time of the month.
It helps reduce inflammation and therefore may help with cramping, nausea, stomach aches, bloating as well as giving you a boost of energy and better mood... Without the side effects!
Please know that anyone can drink this nourishing golden milk, at anytime, for any other inflammation symptoms.
This recipe is also perfect for a cold and rainy day, when the couch and a warm drink is calling!
Golden Moon Milk
This recipe makes 2 cups
Ingredients
1 x Teaspoon of cinnamon
1 x Teaspoon of ginger powder or use grated fresh ginger
1 x Teaspoon of turmeric powder or use grated fresh turmeric
1 x Teaspoon of maca powder
Optional - For an extra health boost - Add some spices like one clove flower, a couple of cardamon pods or fennel seeds.
1.5 x Cup of filtered water
0.5 x Cup full fat coconut milk from a can or preferably make your own nut milk by soaking nuts and blending water with them!
Optional - Honey or maple syrup.
Method
1. Add all the above ingredients except the milk and sweetness into a saucepan.
2. Heat gently on the stove on low-medium heat.
3. Add the milk to the saucepan after 15 minutes of brewing. Brew for another 5 minutes.
You can adjust the water to milk ratio for your liking.
4. To sweeten, add honey or maple syrup to your cup.

TIP: Make a bigger batch to have over the next few days.
